मराठी माणूस, आता तरी डोळे उघड!

भाजप सेनेची गेली २५ वर्षांची युती खऱ्या अर्थाने आज तुटली. गेले काही दिवस मी शिवसेनेला शिव्या घालत होतो, दोष देत होतो. परंतु माझ्या मुंबईतील काही मित्रांनी पाठवलेल्या अनेक पोस्ट वरून भाजपच या गोष्टीला जवाबदार आहे असे वाटते. त्यांनी जे मुद्दे मांडले ते पुढिल प्रमाणे.

१) मागची १५-२० वर्षे सोडल्यास भाजपला जे यश मिळाले त्यात शिवसेनेचा फार मोठा वाटा आहे. शिवसेना जेव्हा महाराष्ट्रात खूप जोमात होती तेव्हा एक हिंदुत्ववादी पक्ष म्हणून भाजपला देखील पुढे आणण्यासाठी त्यांनी भरपूर प्रयत्न केले. भाजप सशक्त झाल्यावर पुढे हळूहळू शिवसेनेला संपवायचा प्रयत्न करेल हि शंका सुध्दा शिवसेनेला तेव्हां आली नाही.

२)युती तुटून हिंदुत्ववादी मतांची विभागणी होऊन नये म्हणून शिवसेनेने अनेक वेळा दोन पावलं माघार घेऊन भाजपला जे हवं ते मान्य केले.

३) १९९९ साली शिवसेनेला ६९ व भाजपला ५६ जागा मिळून १२५ जागा + ६ अपक्षांचा पाठिंबा म्हणजे आवश्यक बहुमतापेक्षा जास्त जागा मिळूनही कॉंग्रेस-राष्ट्रवादी सरकार स्थापन झाले. याचे कारण भाजपला शिवसेनेच्या हाती मुख्यमंत्रीपद द्यायचे नव्हते. गोपीनाथ मुंडेंनाच मुख्यमंत्रीपद मिळाले पाहिजे असा हट्ट करत त्यांनी कॉंग्रेस-राष्ट्रवादीला सरकार स्थापन करण्यात मदत केली. शिवसेनेला तेव्हां पहिल्यांदा लक्षात आले कि युतीचे सरकार स्थापन करण्यापेक्षा शिवसेनेला संपवून तिचे स्थान पटकावणे हे भाजपचे पहिले उद्दिष्ट आहे. भाजपने हा विश्वासघात करून सुध्दा दोन्ही पक्षांची मते फुटून त्याचा फायदा कॉंग्रेस-राष्ट्रवादीला मिळू नये यासाठी बाळासाहेब ठाकरे हे प्रमोद महाजनांच्या सांगण्यावरून युती करत राहिले.

४) आज एन डि ए मधे भाजप सारखा दुसरा हिंदुत्ववादी पक्ष फक्त शिवसेनाच आहे. अन्य पक्षांचे बहुसंख्य मतदार हिंदुत्ववादी नाही. त्यामुळे त्या पक्षांचा पाठिंबा मिळवणे शक्य असले तरी त्या पक्षाला मिळणाऱ्या जागा भाजपला मिळणे कठिण जाणार याची कल्पना भाजपला आहे. शिवसेनेच्या बाबतीत असे नाही. शिवसेना संपली कि त्याचे मतदार भाजपलाच मिळणार असल्यामुळे शिवसेनेला संपवणे हा भाजपचा पहिला प्रयत्न आहे.

५) भाजपचा इतिहास पाहता एखाद्या राज्यात शिरकाव करण्यासाठी तिथल्या एका मजबूत प्रादेशिक पक्षाशी युती करायची व हळूहळू त्या पक्षाला काही कळायच्या आधीच संपवून तिथे आपले स्थान भक्कम करायचे. गोव्यातील मगो पक्षाचे उदाहरण आपल्या डोळ्यासमोर आहे. नितिशकुमार, नविन पटनायक, चंद्राबाबू नायडू हे वेळीच सावध झाल्यामुळे त्यांचे पक्ष जिवंत राहू शकले.

६) केंद्रात सुध्दा शिवसेनेला कसलेच काम करायची संधी न देता खच्चीकरण करून संपवण्याचे कारस्थान भाजप सत्तेवर आल्यापासुन करत आलेला आहे. २०१४ च्या लोकसभेत शिवसेनेला मिळालेल्या जागा १८. मंत्रीपद १. ते सुध्दा अवजड उद्योग मंत्रीपद. ज्या खात्याला फारसे काहीच काम नाही.

अपना दल पक्ष- खासदार २. मंत्रीपद १.
जनता दल युनायटेड- खासदार १६. मंत्रीपद २.
लोक जनशक्ती पक्ष- खासदार ५. मंत्रीपद २.
अकाली दल- खासदार ४. मंत्रीपद २.
अन्य एक पुर्वोतरचा पक्ष ज्याचे नाव विसरलो- खासदार १. मंत्रीपद १.
२०१९च्या लोकसभेतही शिवसेनेचे खासदार १८. मंत्रीपद १. आणि ते सुद्धा मागच्या वेळचेच अवजड उद्योग मंत्रीपद. महत्त्वाचे म्हणजे हे मंत्रीपद सोडून दुसरे चांगले मंत्रीपद देण्यात यावे अशी लिखीत विनंती शिवसेनेने करून सुध्दा तेच खाते देण्यात आले.
हिच बाब महाराष्ट्रात कटाक्षाने पाळण्यात आली. बहुतेक महत्त्वाची मंत्रीपदं भाजपने आपल्याकडे घेत शिवसेनेला मतदारांवर फारसा प्रभाव पाडायची संधी मिळू नये याचीच खबरदारी घेतली.

७) त्यामुळे भाजप सोबत युतीत राहिलो तर हळूहळू भाजप आपल्याला संपवणार याची जाणीव झाल्यावर शिवसेना फक्त संधीची वाट बघत होती. निवडणुकीच्या निकालांनी ती दिल्यावर शिवसेनेने ती संधी सोडली नाही.

८) उध्दव ठाकरेने अमित शहांनी समान जागा वाटप व समान मंत्रीपदं व अडीच अडीच वर्षे मुख्यमंत्रीपद मान्य केले होते हे सांगितल्यावर शहांनी मौन बाळगणे, उध्दव ठाकरेला भेटायचे टाळण्यासाठी महाराष्ट्रात पाऊल न ठेवणे यावरून कोण खोटं बोलत आहे याची कल्पना येते. आणि समजा अमित शहांनी तसा शब्द दिलाच नव्हता असे गृहीत धरले तरी आपल्याच मित्रपक्षाला अर्धवेळ मुख्यमंत्रीपद देण्याचे मान्य करून युतीचे सरकार स्थापन करायला काय हरकत होती? म्हणजेच काहीही झाले तरी शिवसेना संपवायची हा एक कलमी कार्यक्रम भाजपचा होता.

९) केंद्रात भाजपचे सरकार असल्यामुळे भाजपला दुखवता कामा नये हे न समजण्या इतकी मुर्ख शिवसेना नक्कीच नाही. पण शेवटी शिवसेनेने जर ठरवले असेल कि भाजप सोबत राहून संपण्यापेक्षा कॉंग्रेस सोबत राहून जगण्यासाठी धडपड करुया तर ते अयोग्य नक्कीच नाही.
हे सगळे वरील मुद्दे वाचल्यावर त्यात बरेच तत्थ असल्याचे मला सुध्दा जाणवले. *महाराष्ट्रातील भयानक परिस्थिती*

*गुजराती* नेत्यांचे आजच्या घडीला सर्वाधिक *शुभचिंतक आणि समर्थक* हे मराठी तरुण आहेत ही *सर्वाधिक शरमेची* बाब आहे…. गुजराती मूळ असलेले नरेंद्र मोदी, अमित शहा, पियुष गोयल हे जणू आमचा भविष्यकाळच बदलणार आहेत याच अविर्भावात *मराठी तरुण समाज माध्यमांवर फुलटाईम ऑनलाईन* असतात.
परंतु हेच *गुजराती नेते महाराष्ट्र, मुंबई आणि मराठी तरुणाच्या पोटापाण्याचा प्रश्न कायमचा हिरावून घेण्याची योजना सध्या गुजरातच्या गिफ्ट सिटीमध्ये आखत आहेत*. याची या अंध मोदी भक्ताना कल्पनाही नाही.. बाजूची इतर राज्य म्हणजे कर्नाटक आणि आंध्रप्रदेश देखील विकसित होत आहेत… परंतु त्यामुळं महाराष्ट्राचे कोणतंही *अहित* होत नाही… झालं नाही..पण.., गुजरातचा होऊ घातलेला विकास हा *महाराष्ट्र द्वेष आणि*कुटील कारस्थानावर* आधारलेलाआहे हे आम्हाला कधी समजणार….. ? *आठवा महाराष्ट्र निर्मितीच्यावेळी मोरारजी देसाईंने घेतलेले १०५ मराठी माणसांचे बळी*….!!

गुजरातमध्ये सध्या जे सुरु आहे, ते महाराष्ट्राचे *भयंकर नुकसान* करणारे आहे… मराठी तरुणांचं वाचनच संपल्याने ते *संभ्रम* निर्माण करणाऱ्या पेड माध्यमांच्या हेडलाईन्समधून *फसवले* जात आहेत.

मात्र हेच मराठी तरुणांना समजवून सांगणारे राज ठाकरे त्यांच्यासाठी *टिंगल टवाळीचा* विषय बनले आहेत हे *धक्कादायक* आहे. *चिंताजनक*आणि उद्वेगजनक* आहे…

कारण त्यांच्या समाज माध्यमांच्या *विकृतीतून इतका ब्रेनवॉश* केला जात आहे की कुणीही समजून किंवा ऐकून घेण्याच्या *मनस्थितीत* दिसत नाही, हे त्यांच्याशी *संवाद* साधल्यावर स्पष्ट होत आहे..
दुर्दैवाने त्यात *”सुशिक्षित मूर्खांचा* अधिक भरणा आहे हे *धक्कादायक आणि खूप धोकादायक* आहे हे मुद्दाम याठिकाणी म्हणावं लागेल.

देशाची नवी आर्थिक राजधानी उभारणीचं अर्थात *फायनान्शियल कॅपिटल सिटीची* योजना गुजरातमध्ये आखली गेली आहे. मागील वर्षी म्हणजे २०१८ पासून त्यावर प्रत्यक्ष *जोरदारपणे* काम सुरु आहे.
स्वतः नरेंद्र मोदी त्यावर विशेष लक्ष ठेवून आहेत. सिंगापूर आणि हॉंगकॉंगच्या धर्तीवर अहमदाबाद-गांधीनगरच्या दरम्यान निर्माण करण्यात येत असलेलं हे नवं शहर ” *गुजरात इंटरनॅशनल फायनान्स टेक सिटी”* अर्थात ‘गिफ्ट’ या नावाने उभारण्यात येत आहे.

दरम्यान, या योजनेचा आणि महाराष्ट्राच्या भूगोलाचा अभ्यास केल्यास, सदर योजना *मुंबईचं आर्थिक अस्तित्व संपुष्टात आणण्यासाठीच आखली जात आहे* याचा प्रत्यय येईल . जागतिक आर्थिक संघटनेने म्हणजे ‘डब्लू.इ.एफ’ने त्याच्या अहवालात म्हटलं आहे की, सिंगापूर, हॉंगकॉंग ही शहर जगातील मोठी आर्थिक केंद्र आहेत. त्यामुळे तिथेच सर्वाधिक गुंतवणुकीला पसंती दिली जाते. त्यामुळे *मुंबईच भौगोलिक महत्व लक्षात घेऊन त्यावरच घाव घालून मुंबईच आर्थिक अस्तित्व प्रथम संपुष्टात आणून मुंबईतील महत्वाची केंद्र सरकारची कार्यालयं, मोठं मोठे उद्योग समूह आणि निर्यातीसाठी वापरल्या जाणाऱ्या बंदरांचे महत्व कमी करून तिथल दळणवळण गुजरातमधील अदानी बंदराकडे वर्ग करण्याची योजना अमलात आणली जात आहे*.

त्याची उदाहरणंच द्यायची झाल्यास मुंबई पोर्ट ट्रस्ट ला *विकासाच्या* नावावर *बंद* करून तीथले सर्व व्यवहार हे *गुजरातमधील विविध बंदराकडे वळविण्यात आले आहेत* त्यामुळे मुंबईची रयाच गेली आहे. *दक्षिण मुंबईतील पंचरत्न बिल्डिंगमधील डायमंड मार्केट, भिवंडीचे कपडा मार्केट, यार्न आणि साडी मार्केट गुजराती व्यापाऱ्यांना हाताशी धरून सुरतला घेऊन गेले*. *बेलापूरचे रासायनिक कारखाने गुजरातमधील भरूच नजिकच्या दहेजमध्ये घेऊन गेले. तर मुंबईतील अनेक आयटी हब्स अहमदाबादमध्ये वळवले आहेत, तर टाइल्सचा उद्योग वापीला पळवला आहे*.

तर महाराष्ट्र आणि गुजरातच्या *भूगोलाचा* अभ्यास केल्यास पालघर आणि आसपासचा भूभाग गुजरात सीमेला लागून असल्याने सध्या गुजराती समाज इथले *शेकडो एकरचे प्लॉट स्वतःच्या समाजाकडे पैसे फेकून विकत घेत आहे*. बुलेट ट्रेन सत्यात उतरल्यास हा पट्टा नावाला महाराष्ट्राचा भूभाग असेल, पण इथली *भाषा आणि संस्कृती* केवळ *गुजराती* असेल यात काहीच शंका नाही. याच पट्यात मोठ्या प्रमाणावर *आदिवासी आणि आगरी* समाज असल्याने त्यांच्या अज्ञानाचा फायदा जमिनी हडप करताना गुजराती व्यापारी दिसत आहेत. आजही या सीमेवरील परिसराचा फेरफटका मारल्यास इथे नावांच्या पाट्या देखील मोठ्या प्रमाणावर *गुजराती* भाषेत दिसतात.

स्वतः नरेंद्र मोदी पंतप्रधान असल्याने स्वतःच्या कार्यकाळात ते देशाला स्मार्ट सिटीची स्वप्न दाखवत वास्तविक *गुजरातमधील ‘गिफ्ट सिटी’वर त्यांनी लक्ष केंद्रित केले आहे* देशातील इतर नियोजित स्मार्ट सिटी या केवळ कागदावर असतील आणि इंटरनेट दिलं म्हणजे शहर स्मार्ट झालं हा *बिनडोक* विचार तरुणांच्या माथी थोपवला जात आहे. दरम्यान, राज ठाकरे याच विषयावर महाराष्ट्रातील तरुणांना संधी मिळेल तिथे समजावत आहेत आणि याची पूर्ण जाणीव गुजरातच्या नेत्यांना असल्याने ते राज ठाकरेंच्या वक्तव्यावर व्यक्त होण्याच्या रणनीतीचा अवलंब करताना दिसत आहेत. कारण राज ठाकरेंच्या प्रश्नांना उत्तर दिली तर विषय मोठ्याप्रमाणावर *प्रकाशझोतात येईल आणि गुजराती उद्योग नीती कचाट्यात अडकेल हे त्यांना ठाऊक आहे.* त्यामुळेच सध्या उत्तर भारतीयांपेक्षा गुजराती समाज हा राज ठाकरेंचा सर्वाधिक *द्वेष* करणारा झाल्याचे सहज निदर्शनास येते. त्यामुळे महाराष्ट्रातील तरुणांनी हा विषय *गांभीर्याने आणि अभ्यासूपणे* समजून घेतला पाहिजे*
.. *अन्यथा केवळ मुंबईच नव्हे… तर अख्खा महाराष्ट्रच गुजरातने गिळंकृत केलेला असेल*….

Remember when you vote.

Lok Sabha elections 2019, Once again,we are on crossroads, we are at a very important junction right now, our choice will determine in which direction we the nation want to go hereafter. We have seen dark and worst phase of India on all fronts, from economy to jobs to social harmony, in last 5 years. Do you want to pass on this same government which gave us third rate governance, to next generation or do you care to correct the mistake and give some better alternative? Remember, whosoever replaces this ‘parasite on propaganda’ will be good or bad but will remain better than this Modi Government.

If we want to correct the course, probably we have our last chance. Just by outraging on Twitter, Facebook and ignoring bigots within extended family on WhatsApp, is not going to help. Need of the hour is to engage, to argue, to call the bluff and to expose the propaganda.

Watch out what kind content is coming in your WhatsApp, what kind of stuff is keeping busy your family members, kill the fake news and propaganda being peddled on in the form of satire, joke or as an achievement which comes as ‘first time in India…..’.

When you are in polling booth, remember when you vote…

Modi Government boasted always and through bought out cheerleaders sold us that India is growing with XYZ percent of growth and that is far better than 10 years of MMS Government. This is plain lie, Modi Government changed the GDP calculation formula, fudged the data to achieve figures better than UPA. When back series calculations done, the lie was exposed. As Dr Rahuram Rajan puts in simple way, if we are growing at 7.5% GDP then why we have no jobs? If there are no jobs, then how we are growing at 7.5%? or to put it other way, GDP has not grown at 7.5%!

Same thing goes with highway construction, Modi Government changed the measurement method of highways built. Earlier it was straight in kilometers, irrespective of number of lanes. Now it is lane kilometer. It means, before 1km of road with 4 lanes was 1km, now it became 4km!

This clueless Modi Government implemented GST with midnight celebrations. GST slab as good as 28%, it was ridiculous. What happened thereafter, GST slabs were subject of continuous revisions until before model code of conduct is imposed. Who suffered? Common man.

Demonetization was the biggest scam, day light robbery which has caused havoc in the lives of many. During that period an idiot who is now RBI Governor, used to have press conference and blabber whatever was convenient to him. Daily they listed different different benefits of Demonetization. Today if you look at those statement, you laugh on it as a joke. Where in the world someone gave excuse that high value currency is cause of black money so it is banned and than another currency note released which is double than the previous one in value? It could have happened only in Government of Kamal Ke Fools and that happened. They withdrawn Rs.1000 & released Rs.2000 note. While these incompetent were having fun, hundreds of common folks lost their dear ones, many couldn’t cope up as their businesses collapsed. Marriages delayed or cancelled but we had a shameless PM then who was speaking on foreign land, poking fun at people “shaadi ke liye paise nahi hain, ha ha ha”! Do you really want such insensitive guy to lead this great country? I don’t think so.

10 years of concrete efforts of Dr Manmohan Singh Government has brought peace to valley, it was healing the wounds. Kashmir tourism was once again booming, rest of India folks were having Kashmir plans, all was going well and then this idiot came in power in center and subsequently in J&K. First thing whatever I remember, he did was; released Masrat Alam. He did all things possible to burn Kashmir again and when things done he parted ways from coalition government of J&K. You must be remembering Burhan Wani, when he was killed, it was BJP Government who allowed his public funeral giving petrol to flames. That was his tried and tested trick, he did same with dead bodies of Karsevaks. Nobody used dead bodies for politics but Modi.

Modi’s slogan was “Justice for all, appeasement for none” which has gone to dogs and cows. Victims of Malegaon, Ajmer, Samjhauta blasts died multiple deaths when prosecution itself has weakened the case, file misplaced, evidences never tabled. Case of Mohsin Shaikh, even saw that public prosecutor withdrawn from the case! Justice? So, when justice wasn’t happening, was there ‘appeasement for none’? No, not at all. There appeasement of vote bank, the vote bank which voted Modi because single point agenda that is “Muslim hate”. Modi appeased all his vote bank by fixing prosecution, investigation agencies and getting all Hindutva Terrorist out of jails. He also went a step further in his recent Maharashtra rally said, Hindu Terrorist nahi hota and gave the campaign totally communal color. Our luck is good that, other parties didn’t fall in his trap and at least till now they are talking of unemployment, job creation, economy and security.

I urge whosoever reading this blog, think and decide. There are many more things I am yet to write on but you need to think twice before voting any BJP candidate. How can you elect a person to top chair, who don’t want to be held responsible for security failure which killed 42 Indian soldiers but rushes to claim political credit on IAF air strikes on other side of border?

Counterfeit Nationalists

10 days ago I wanted to leave the only social media platform I was on. Reason for leaving was propaganda, hate and falsehood distributed over it on daily basis by folks who call themselves ‘Nationalists’. However few thinking people who came into contact with me during tenure of last 4 years, conveyed their feelings and explained why ‘leaving social media platform’ is not the solution. Their reasoning was right so instead of leaving social media platform, I decided to take break of one week or so and then return.

Today, I logged in to Twitter to mark return from the break and the first tweet I got to see was, a tweet from Suchitra Krishnamoorthi. For a moment I was stunned, in a disbelief I clicked on her profile multiple times to understand is it real account or some mischievous troll using her identity. Unfortunately I had to settle down that it’s not a fake account but real one.

Was trying to figure out what is the context that made her to put this tweet? I could relate to only one latest incident, which might have caused her to spell out her inner feelings towards Muslims in a bigoted fashion and that is ‘Pulwama Terrorist Attack’.

On a general look, her tweet has no connection or reference to Pulwama. Superficially it looks general anti-Muslim rant peddled by BJP IT cell labourers, altogether separate topic. You have to carefully look at the timing of tweet, replies to her tweets, her replies to others and other parameters; to understand what kind of propaganda machine is at work and how she is on job and playing role of influencers in opinion making over social media. Their role is to divert public ire & anger towards some other soft target than the actual responsible and accountable authority.

There are many Counterfeit Nationalists, mostly belonging to current party in power i.e. BJP & Sangh Parivar. Whenever their idol is caught napping, they come out launching full fledged attack on Muslims, Liberals, non-aligned media and political opposition parties to divert masses from core issue.

Suchitra Krishnamoorthi’s tweet pulled varied reactions. One Muslim guy wrote a full twitter thread, in an attempt to convince her, with various web links as an evidence that Muslims too are patriots, they too protest on terrorist attacks, all are not terrorist bla bla. It was so painful to read, why someone has to prove their patriotism to anyone else?

Suchitra and many like her think Muslims have greatest freedom & privileges – ask them about freedom & privileges of those Noida/Gurgaon IT Sector employees. BJP Governments banned them, filled parks with water, only to deny place to offer Friday prayer.

She has a problem with Muslims complaining, don’t know why it is problem for her? Is it only her privilege & right that she can seek answers of any bull-crap question from Nehru and blame him for failures of Modi Govt!

Indian Muslims have a right to speak up, complain and put across their point. They are born Indians, generations after generations. They belong to India. They are not given refuge here. They are not less Indian than anyone else, not even by one millimeter. These ‘Counterfeit Nationalists’ should STFU and if at all they want to question, they have to question incompetent people they elected to power.

What exactly these counterfeit nationalists trying to hide and divert? Narendra Modi, who generally tweets in minutes on any accident, attack in any corner of the wold; took hours to put condolence message. Amit Shah was doing intellectual meet and Adityanath was in rally. Delhi BJP Chief was busy singing and dancing that too soon after putting his tweet for CRPF Jawans! Look at their sensitivity for forces. These acts underline basic character of BJP and it’s allies. During the independence struggle too when nation was fighting with British Empire, forefathers of BJP & RSS were either busy with their own agenda politics, giving tips to oppressive British rulers and writing mercy petitions, apology letters. Old habits die hard, the trait will not go that easy. Even the very next day of Pulwama Terrorist Attack, it was business as usual for BJP. PM made Mortal Remains of Soldiers to wait, so that he can have his photo-ops! Shameful.

Thankfully we haven’t came across advertisements or posters from opposition politicising the Pulwama terrorist attack. Else, we have seen how Narendra Modi landed in Mumbai at Taj hotel, held press conference. We have also seen advertisement from BJP very next day on front pages of news papers begging votes for BJP sighting terror attack. Even today, Sakshi Maharaj of BJP turned soldier’s last rites into his election road show.

When such Terrorist Attack takes place despite the intelligence input being available in advance, it raises serious questions on competence, ability & capability of Government and related security agencies.

Prime Minister is answerable to the Nation, Home Minister is answerable to nation and so is NSA and other folks coming in chain of accountability and responsibility. When angry people seek answers from these figures, it isn’t politics but the Counterfeit Nationalists coming in between Establishment and Common public, as defenders of their political Lords, diverting anger and ire towards Muslims, Minorities, Liberals and opposition parties; is a politics. It is that dirty politics, Indians have to get rid off urgently.

Irrespective of party in power, people must question the Governments. There is no need for anyone to prove their patriotism. There is no need to fall in the trap of propaganda machinery. There is no need to get into ‘What About’ games of BJP trolls.

Note that there are many more Suchitra Krishnamoorthis, much more bigoted than her. There is no need to get intimidated by any Counterfeit Nationalist. There existence should only make us stronger to voice concerns, to stand for right cause like a rock; because real nationalists do this. Real nationalists love their nation, their allegiance is to the nation which is permanent and not to the leader or Government of the time which is temporary.

Don’t quit, keep asking right questions.

Trading Headlines

By now everyone knows how efficient Modi Govt in headline management. in the same series currently one headline is being played with different phrases & words shuffling that is, “Amid Doklam stand off, India has taken tough stand & imposed Anti-Dumping duty on Chinese products” & some one wrote “India is fighting a trade war against China & winning! Well, as usual truth is something else.

First of all when India is slapping anti-dumping duty on Chinese products, note that this extra cost is not paid by Chinese exporter, it is being borne by Indian importer. Second, this is not new, it was pre-existing.

What Modi Govt did new in this now is, added few more categories & changed ADD slabs, without understanding aspect & impact of the same on Indian manufacturers & customer base. Its about two years Modi Govt ADD on Chinese products is in place & how much it has affected? Here it is..

One sector which is most affected due to imposition of ADD on steel & iron components has affected and will continue to affect in long term is “Renewable Energy” in general & “Wind Energy Sector” in specific.

There is absolutely no synchronization between concerned Ministries of Modi Govt in any of such policy decision. Energy Minister & Commerce Minister both are clueless and acting in complete isolation only to screw only Indians from both ends.

Piyush Goyal reducing the tariff & adopting competitive bidding for renewable energy whereas Nirmala Sitharaman imposed ADD at behest of few cronies, on components are sourced from China at competitive prices.

Wind Energy sector’s requirements are high quality heavy engineering components. In India very few who manufacture those components and they are not at all competitive with their Chinese counterparts in terms of cost, quality and quantity.

Break that Orbit!

Few days back Rahul Shivshankar ran a program on Times Now,

With full of lies and propaganda. He quoted selected tweets of few of those people who don’t support the current Government and it’s agenda. Rahul Shivshankar’s show had clearly an agenda, to be specific the malicious agenda. To defame the sane people who object to fixed match being played between Government and media, people who speak even in this environment of intimidation and threats. Hence he chose few anti BJP people from social media and intentionally chose those who are having traceable identity. This was done to give a stern message to all other such people who criticize Government that stop criticizing government or else we will expose you on national television with false adjectives by quoting your tweets and posts out of context and will label you an anti-national. This all has been with a larger agenda to kill the voice of dissent by singling out people who speak. My message to Rahul Shivshankar and his clan is, you can keep on proving your self a best lap dog of Modi Sarkar and bark on every dissenting voice with powers available to you, we will fight forces like you and we will fight with our full might.

Having said all on Rahul Shivshankar, is it only he who is doing all this at Times Now? The answer is ‘No’.

Times Now is news channel always hysterical and people used to think it’s because of Arnab Goswami or his style of show presentation. However, it is getting clearer every passing day that Vineet Jain wanted Times Now to be like that only, with or without Arnab Goswami.

When Arnab Goswami left Times Now, most of us expected that sanity will return in Times Now studio but poor cyclostyled copy of Arnab Goswami, Rahul Shivshankar blocked all the chances of its return and issue based journalism or cultured debates. Rather he took the madness and ignorance to a different level. I guess that must be the objective of special ‘Training Need’ identified by Vineet Jain, whatever performance Rahul Shivshankar delivering now a day is to prove ‘effectiveness of that imparted training’ and goal sheet.

So, be it Arnab Goswami or Rahul Shivshankar or Navika, they all are just tip of the iceberg while the real rot and root is beneath the surface, that is media baron Vineet Jain. Arnab Goswami had false impression in his mind while at Times Now that he made the channel and because of him channel existed, he tried to become bigger brand than channel itself and Vineet Jain shown him the door. Arnab learned few tricks of bigotry business from Vineet Jain, he collaborated with BJP financier and started denting in Times Now’s business with Republic TV catering same bigotry and same vile content. That made Vineet Jain to go further right to keep that audience segment intact and while doing all this silently engaged audience of other side on Mirror Now with FayeDsouza and some social masala. Both the channels run exactly opposite content but you will not come across a single incidence where either of have crossed each other or the anchors commented on wrongful content.

There is no meaning in lashing out at RShivshankar & applauding FayeDsouza, it’s not the case that one is sold out crook and other is crusader of pure gold standard journalism. They both are salaried employees & work as per order and strategy of Vineet Jain. If there is one media crook at Times Group, its Vineet Jain but that does not absolve anchors working at Times Now and Mirror Now from their ethical ownership, they too are answerable for the collective filth.

Times Now is main business and Mirror Now is a CSR activity for Vineet Jain. Times of India is always a Sarkari News Paper irrespective of any party in the government. In 1987, Arun Shourie said about Times of India which is still valid; he said about ‘The Times of India’, Woh Akhbar Nahin, Sarkar hai (It’s not a paper, it’s the Government) and he didn’t want to work for the Government”.

Having said all that about Times Group, what is the story at other media houses? Nothing different, all are more or less in the same race. They all have employees mix of every flavour. While few are openly bigots there are few always ready with ‘what about’, these whataboutry peddlers are equally responsible for damage to society. These are the main crooks who hijack the core issue by building false narratives and feeding a sleeping pill to conscience of people. Then comes the other type, ‘spineless neutrals’, they are the self-proclaimed flag bearers of liberalism but their outrage is limited to certain boundaries and they can’t criticise Government without criticising opposition. Their cowardice has no boundaries. If Times Group has two different restaurants to serve two different cuisines, others have different cooks in common kitchen. Be it India Today or Zee or ABP or any other. When last time I came accross such cooks and kitchens I wrote Tale of Convenient Journalism Read and correlate.

Honest journalists are rare species now a days, I bet if you start counting, the count will end up at your finger tips after few counts. Most will give up after counting two! Whenever you find any journalist being labelled as Jhola Chhap, Leftist, Modi Hater, Naxal, Islamic Apologist etc, you need not to run for verification of that journalist, you need to check credentials of folks who are hurling these labels and accusations.

In such a scenario where media and government has disturbed the equilibrium of society to the abnormal levels, they shifted the center and orbit so much that any pro-government or anti-opposition post is true without any scrutiny, people in that orbit are like they are hypnotized, they go to the internet or literature for fact check only when they see some thing against the government or their idol!

There are people like Prateek Sinha and Pankaj Jain doing their bit to put facts in public domain but who is their audience? People who are not pro-government. We can keep on donating these websites, we can encourage them, award them but that is not enough, that is not enough in national duty of each individual. Need of the hour is to break that orbit set by main stream media to give advantage to government and it’s allies. After donating and encouraging folks like AltNews, SMHoaxSlayer and BoomFactCheck, do your little bit to spread the facts after knowing those. One easy way to do is your indvidual Facebook and WhatsApp, respond with facts on one to one basis as well as in groups. When you will start responding with facts for each fake posts, the sharing of fake posts may not stop instantly but consumption of fake post will slow down and it will die its death and that is the only way to break the wall. Break that orbit and bring the things in normal equilibrium.

Freedom is in peril defend it with all your Might.

Government, elected by people for Cronies!

Nation is made of Public. Public makes Government. Its Government’s job to work for welfare of Public. Its not vice versa!

Ever realised who was for whom & in actual who became pawn of whom? This Government is for Public or Public is for Government?

It was Government elected by people for welfare of people, but looking at Modi Government, it’s actions and decisions; it gives feeling that Government is elected by people for welfare of few Cronies who enjoy on taxpayer money from low interest debts to subsidies.

Government survives on votes & income of middle class honest taxpayer’s money and leave no chance to screw up the same middle class at every available opportunity.

Its middle class who actively participates in keeping democracy alive and nation building by paying all kind of taxes on time, by paying back loans on time. Never seeks write off or waivers.

If you are a middle class & failed to pay loan installment or credit card bill or phone bill or electricity bill; you know very well what may happen to you! You will be slapped penalties for certain period then services provided to you will be discontinued and legally your properties/deposit will be sealed, seized & confiscated but only if you are middle class simple common man. Nothing happens to you even if you are debt ridden, defaulter, tax thief when you are well connected to power.

Raghu Ram Rajan said it very boldly when in office as RBI Governor, he said, “The rich & well-connected wrong-doer is virtually going scot-free”, look around business owners travelling with PM in his each foreign trip, look at business opportunities they get & realise how correct Raghu Ram Rajan was!

Common man goes to job, works for a month and earns money to fulfill his & family needs. That guy also has pressure to keep pace with society and maintain social status. Do we have any Minister in Modi Government, who is representative of any such common man in parliament? If ‘Yes’, why do we have all anti people policies from Government?

The common man is tax payer and the same common man is consumer. In complete chain common man is only guy who end up paying dual tax. He has to pay tax on income which is deducted at source and than tax on any transaction he does as consumer. The same common man has to pay tax on his fixed deposits and bank savings and now even tax on PF withdrawal.

This Government made changes in the PF rules. Now person cannot withdraw full EPF balance before retirement. It means even if you have the option to earn a higher rate of interest through Business, mutual funds etc. you cannot do that. Government is trying to sell it as positive saying that, “New EPF scheme ensures the financial security after the retirement. It is particularly beneficial to private sector employees who don’t get pension”. Fact is Government accumulating more & more funds and making it available for long term to crony capitalists.
Even on partial PF withdrawal before 5 years, you have to pay tax. This is not tax, its actually a penalty for withdrawing your money as you didn’t allow some crony capitalist to use it at a very low interest rates.

Any Government whenever fails on all business & trade fronts, when there are no new jobs in existing job market, no new job opportunities in new sectors, industrial and service sector in coma; the Masterstroke is to emphasize on tax collection. Increase in tax collection by increasing the tax burden on earning middle class. This tax collection is income for Government and this works on two fronts for people in power.

1- to inflate fake figures of growth, GDP, reduction in inflation etcetera. 

2- more money with Government, banks; more loans to Cronies, more write offs, more waivers and more subsidies to Cronies in the name of development.

This is that organised loot and plundering of public money.

Having said all that, common man still pays full taxes because he is not anti-national, his Government is. His Government is temporary, he is permanent citizen of India. Hence with all the pain he stands by country but do not pull a string so tight that it will break spreads anarchy!

While Cow is keep derailing the traffic which is already in mess and earn her livelihood from garbage collection corners, this Government still succeeds in keeping us busy with Gaumata and Psuedo Nationalism and emotional fool common man aligns with Government. This  must stop somewhere.

Common man must get Organized & Mobilised to kick the Governments at every first available opportunity if they are not pro-people. Any Government which is pro cronyism & thriving on headline management has no right to exist. It must mend it’s ways or get lost.

Pains & gains of Cashless transactions

Many articles have already been written & published on DeMonetisation. Below write-up is not an article or my own blog but compilation of Mr. Sanjay Hegde’s 9 tweets I did for ease of reading in one go & relating themselves to big picture.

Was talking to a builder with a major project near completion. At this stage he would have been doubling his workforce as more workers required at finishing stage.

Reality now is that half of workforce has left to return to villages. Workers want cash payments & do not want bank accounts. More comfortable with old systems where part payment came on signing up & further payments sent home informally. Workmen don’t want to deal with banks.

Currently many returned to villages where at least farm food assured. They are awaiting a return of currency to the economy & employment on old terms. If the government does not provide fresh currency, many may remain in villages & add to unremunerative labour there.

In the meanwhile, project delivery gets delayed; housing loans get extended & some may go down under.

Everywhere message is the same cash gives confidence. People trust only hard cash which they can hold. Everything else is not the real thing.

I doubt that a cash less economy is on the horizon in India. But of course the government thinks, it knows best, what is good for India. Does India agree?

One thing is for sure, Government is free to encourage cashless transactions but cash in the market brings confidence & stability in the business. That confidence & stability is withdrawn at the moment.

One thing Congress party lacks & BJP has it, it is media manager.

Yes. Arun Jaitley is the most powerful media manager in recent history of last 15 years. He manages every media outlet as if he is doing fish farming with complete control on parasites & predators. His strategy keeps every media house on toes to prove how much they are pro establishment. Few journalists like Mr. Ravish Kumar are exception who refused to bent.

In first week of Nov’16 Govt planned to ban NDTV-India, like many other we fought tooth & nail on social media & print against it. It was not at all for NDTV or out of any sympathy for convenient journalists working at NDTV, it was purely for Mr. Ravish Kumar & we will stand thousand times for him.

First encounter when Barkha broke Robert Vadra story! No, breaking that story was not bad, seeking an acknowledgement from another Modi Cheerleader was the worst thing, even darbari patrakars avoid doing that but Barkha was so desperate…

Whole India was talking on Demonetization Disaster & Barkha was discussing it with Owaisi & Sambit Patra to give it completely communal twist unfortunately no success.

When Rahul Gandhi reveals data with dates & amounts, first person to ridicule & throwing spin on social media is Barkha Dutt

Observe the pattern, do you find anywhere a single word asking for authenticity or explanation from BJP? No. But she will question the allegation.

Now go back when MMS was Prime Minister of India & 2G, Coal Scam etc. subjects were in media galleries. MMS was taking tough action on the culprits, gave free hand to investigation agencies, biggest fraud of millennium Anna Hazare was free to do Anshans & Sushma Swaraj to Dance & what media did at that time? They discredited the gentleman for each of the best thing he did for economy, democracy & FoE. Entertained dissent.

It was told to Indians then by the media, that the media should be generally anti establishment for benefit of democracy, lol. What happened now that when a out of turn selection of Army Chief is questioned, instead of Govt these people jump in to protect foolish decisions of Govt?

To fill the air time even when the burning issue of Demonetization & people’s suffering, they opt to show you Kirron Kher from Chandigarh on Corporation election win!

and when got very sure that opposition is going to bring something in public, they came up with another diverting topic..

There are many Darbari & Tihadi journalists under payroll of Arun Jaitely but what are your compulsions Barkha? I also remember your at least dozen tweets congratulating Arun Jaitley during GST bill passing, not posting here as those tweets brings out more shades of sold out journalism of once upon a time Independent Journalist.

I only wish to ask you one follow up question, what is status of news you broke on Vadra & literally begged to Minhaz for appreciation? Posting my tweets for background to that planted news & story…

This blog is less in words & more in tweet screen shots, I want to explain less & let the reader read it between the lines & behind the lines.

India going through dangerous times with rare fare journalism. When there is allegation on Prime Minister of India for personal involvement of corruption, press should ask PM to come clean. Sadly that is not happening & being told that whats new, same charges were also thrown on PM by Arvind Kejriwal & Prashant Bhushan.

Can these convenient journalism journalists at least ask PM to file a defamation case & ask Rahul Gandhi, Prashant Bhushan & Arvind Kejriwal to prove the charges in court of law? They are not doing this, rather misinformation is being spread that court has dismissed, truth is PIL filed by Prashant Bhushan is not dismissed & is due for hearing in Jan’17!

Cauvery in Sixteen Tweets

Senior Advocate Supreme Court Mr. Sanjay Hegde has described Cauvery issue in sixteen tweets today morning & those are worth compiling at on one place for educating outraging inflammatory illiterates.

While #Cauvery violence is deplorable, media seems to have gone overboard in condemning only one state. Karnataka loses on perception.
Calling for pellet guns etc is overkill. Media also is Delhi centric & there’s schadenfreude when South is no better than North.
Media doesn’t realise, that water usage fights, are predicted to lead to wars in future. Karnataka like India is an upper riparian state.
Karnataka has 1 monsoon & 2 crops, TN has 3 crops & 2 monsoons. Water in Karnataka dams has to suffice for whole year including drinking water to B’lore.
In 1992, 2002 & 2016 TN has had same CM whose binary logic & imperiousness doesn’t help situation. Always a pound of flesh demanded.
In moments of distress a CM of Kar has to contemplate a thirsty Bangalore next April May vs drying crops in Thanjavur delta.
There have been moments when CMs especially from Mysore area contemplated resignation rather than letting down Karnataka populace.
In this situation national media demonising Karnataka, calling for pellet guns & presidents rule are doing no service to nation.
Cauvery distress flares up approximately once in a decade, when storage in reservoirs low. Technical solution for distress needs to be found
Distress sharing becomes acute only in 2 months of September & October because later NE monsoon sets in over TN. Karnataka doesn’t get it.
Distress management requires tact & statesmanship on both sides. What we see is brinkmanship, zero sum games & politicking.
Central governments stay out of distress management as long as they can, because they do not want to antagonise either state.
At central level Karnataka suffers because it’s 28 MPs split amongst parties while TN’s 40 MPs often from one party/alliance ADMK or DMK.
It is time for effective basin management of water deficit Cauvery basin especially in years of distress. Centre can’t sit on its hands.
Solution may take some work, violence is no solution especially when it targets the powerless. Prepare for rationing & mgmt in summer.
Nation needs to know if Bangalore & Karnataka will have drinking water this summer or are prayers for rain in catchment only option.
